MART Visits Boys Town Center

The Money Market Association of the Philippines visited the orphanage at the Boys Town Center in Parang, Marikina last April 22, 2016 as part of its annual CSR Activity. MART has been an active sponsor on this annual charity event as part of its commitment to provide assistance to the underprivileged children in the local community. Apart from its goals in pushing for reforms for financial market development in the country, MART has shown that it is strongly committed as well in fulfilling its social responsibility to develop a strong relationship with the local communities.
The MART-hosted activity was a pleasant surprise to the children as the festive mood lit up the usual quiet atmosphere in the orphanage. Even the hot Manila weather could not deter the joy and happiness of the children who were treated to some fun-filled games and entertainment with the help of the Jollibee crew. The kids also surprised the guests with a series of dance performances that drew cheers from the crowd. The children and the guests then enjoyed a full-packed Jollibee meal together and each child was given a special MART loot bag containing daily essentials like towels, slippers, wallets and assorted toiletries. MART’s dedication to the event was evident as it came over prepared with excess loot bags to spare. MART Communications Committee Representative, Mr. Christopher Domingo, gave the closing remarks thanking the children, the caretakers, and the organizing committee for making the special day a memorable experience for both the kids and the MART guests as well.
