There is nothing unusual about a bunch of traders tossing back drinks at a bar after a hard day of buying and selling. Last May 15, 2008, MART held its 1st Trader’s Night for the year in Spicy Fingers Bar and Restaurant. It was a night filled with music, food, drinks and of course, how can we forget…Lots of singing and dancing! At the bar, guests collected bottles of beer and all sorts of hard drinks. Inside, waiters and waitresses fought for space as they made their way around with drinks. Others who stayed inside feasted on the spread of seafood cuisine lined up for everyone. By the band’s second set, the traders outside struggled to listen to the other talk with the music coming from inside the restaurant. Once again, hats off to the ever entertaining MART’s events committee head, Mr. Boy Bombais. Even on a Thursday night, with work the next day the event was definitely a success. The place filled up so quickly where it was literally a struggle getting through the crowd. Certainly, it was a night made for traders to wind down and enjoy after a hard day’s work. As the saying goes, “You can never keep a good thing down”
