“MART Holds 2016 Induction Ceremony”

Newly elected directors of the Money Market Association of the Philippines (MART) were sworn in last February 9, 2016 at the Namayan Room, Fairmont and Raffles Hotel Makati. Like last year’s event, it was held jointly with the Association Cambiste Internationale (ACI). The induction ceremony was graced by the indefatigable Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Deputy Governor Nestor A. Espenilla, Jr. along with esteemed guests BSP Assistant Governor Ma. Ramona GDT Santiago, BSP Director Edna C. Villa, Ms. Ma. Mediatriz M. Boelsch, and Ms. Lorelai S. Fernandez. After the ceremony, the guests, along with the newly elected MART and ACI Directors were upbeat in sharing their views as the local fixed income market seemed to be staging a rebound this 2016. The MART and ACI officers were also eager to hear some insights and updates from the BSP as highly anticipated reforms on the Financial Markets are set for implementation this 2016 to ensure a continuously robust market for the years to come.
