Last November 5 2007, MART held its annual cocktails to celebrate its 36thyear of existence at the Bahia Room, Hotel InterContinental, Makati. Secretary of Trade and Industry Peter Favilla, was the guest of honor. Gracing the event were former MART presidents, representatives from different sectors of the financial industry and MART officers and representatives.

MART celebrates its 36th year with the theme “A National Partner in Market Reforms and Good Governance”. In line with the associations aim to further promote public awareness on fixed income instruments and to continue its efforts and participation in capital market development. Furthermore, the organization intends to continue forging valued partnerships with stakeholders, market practitioners and local government units in order to create the needed synergy in the financial market.
The event also marks the beginning of the 10th Money Market Consciousness Week: an annual week long activity which aims to educate the investing public, regulators, and other interested parties about the products and services available in the Philippine money market. Concluding the event, MART will be holding its annual convention in Boracay on November 9- 11 2007.
As MART celebrates yet another year of its fruitful existence, it only proves that it continues to be a valuable influence to the financial market, living up to its vision of being an acknowledged prime mover in the development of the interest rate markets responsive to the needs of its members and the public.
