The Money Market Association held its first general assembly for 2008 last April 23 at the ballroom of Dusit Hotel. The event was highlighted by Senator Edgardo Angara’s keynote address, in which he discussed legislation he has sponsored for the development of the Philippine banking industry. Being the head of the senate committee on Banks, Financial Institutions and Currencies, Sen. Angara outlined the recent advances in the banking sector, particularly with regard to providing credit to SMEs. In his talk, Sen.
